Bloodiest Day For Palestinians

As the Muslims prepare to celebrate Maal Hijrah the new year with a new beginning for a better, the bloody Israeli warplanes and combat helicopters pounded the Hamas-ruled Gaza strip on Saturday, killing at least 205 people in the bloodiest day for Palestinians in more than 20 years. The Arab world reacted in shock to the attacks with scattered protests around the region. "It's a Zionist holocust, but it won't dissuade us from going on with our struggle to achieve our goals, " said Ali Barakah, one of the protesters. Probably this is a farewell to Bush who is winding down at his Texas ranch. The USA urges Israel to avoid civilian casualties as it targets Hamas in Gaza. Is this possible? I don't think so. King Abdullah II of Jordan said the attacks "targeted innocents among the civilians including women and children" and warned that "violence will only escalate the crisis and will not bring security to Israel". So we are entering the new year 1430 Hijriah with that scenerio in place. It is pretty ugly, don't you think? I think so.
